A group of bloggers has sent a 20-page proposal to the Minister for Information, Communication and the Arts, Dr Lee Boon Yang. The paper, titled “Proposals for Internet freedom in Singapore”, expresses the bloggers’ concerns about Internet regulation in Singapore and offers proposals for the government to consider in its current review of such regulations. The review was led by Choo Zheng Xi of The Online Citizen and Alex Au of Yawning Bread, and included the editor of Journalism.sg.
