Private: Journalists to share their filmmaking experiences

The Singapore Press Club presents “Passion Projects: Journalist-Filmmakers’ First Takes” on Wednesday 14 November, 7-9 pm at library@orchard, Ngee Ann City. Two films will be screened. I Love Malaya (2006) by Eunice Lau, Wang Eng Eng and Chan Kah Mei, is about exiled former members of the Malayan Communist Party. The Mitre Spell (2007) by Tony Kern, Genevieve Woo and Kim-Kyna Tan is a tale set in spooky Mitre Hotel off Killiney Road. A Q&A with the filmmakers will follow the screening. Admission is free to the first 60 registrants who email secretariat@pressclub.org.sg by Friday 9 November.
